A Place for the Forgotten and Unadoptable

Help Us

With the help of generous donors  we  accept dogs, cats, and horses that otherwise would probably never get adopted and are often forgotten because of varied ailments or behavioral issues. TLRD loves these guys and gals. We provide them a home for the remainder of their lives and they too become a part of our family. We often take animals from other rescue and welfare organizations to relive their populations and allow them to rescue and adopt out the more adoptable dogs. In 2004, we adopted Pebbles and Bambam who spent the first three years of their lives in a shelter. They arrived at the door step of the Wood River Valley Animal Shelter in Hailey, Idaho when they were only 3 months old. We adopted them both and we had sleep downstairs in our family room because they would not come up the stairs. These two turned out to be two of the best dogs we have ever rescued. They were delightful. We have story after story like that.

    Our Mission

    Guardian-Angels

The Last Road Dog Sanctuary is place where Guardian Angles reside for animals’ in distress and danger or subject to any cruelty. Our mission is to prevent cruelty to animals in need of medical attention, subject to danger or abuse, hungry or starving, or under any other distress or cruelty. The Last Road Dog rescues these animals and provides them with a safe and secure home. Additionally, the Last Road Dog adopts animals from owners in distressed situations who no longer can take care of their animals and keeps their animals out of distress, neglect, abuse, hunger or any other danger, preventing any further cruelty to the animals.

Here at The Last Road Dog Sanctuary, we become your peace of mind and pet's guardian angel. If you are in a situation where you can no longer take care of your pet, we will.

    Our Commitment is for Life

When you are no longer able to take care of your pet, they become a part of our family and are provided a safe, loving, and permanent home for the rest of their lives. We have a 30-year long history of animal care to back-up our devotion and commitment to you and your pet
